About Giulio Dolcetti

R&D engineer and signal analysis expert who loves challenges. I have a strong multidisciplinary background in fluid dynamics and acoustics, coupled with extensive experience transferring innovation from academia to the industry. I specialise in developing innovative measurement and data analysis techniques for laboratory and field applications. I am an expert in hydraulic measurements, with a track record of developing hydraulic flow monitoring instrumentation based on acoustics and image analysis, for applications ranging from small-scale turbulent processes to river-network-scale transport. I am also an expert in the scattering of sound by rough surfaces and have personally developed several semi-analytical and numerical approaches for surface metrology based on acoustics. I am an excellent communicator with significant experience engaging diverse audiences through both written and oral presentations. I have significant experience writing and coordinating large scientific project proposals and leading R&D projects in academia and in the industry. I am an experienced and trained teacher, and, most importantly, a quick and eager learner.
