About Giulio Taranto

With 14+ years of experience in technology and cyber risk, audit, strategy, and system integration, I am a senior technology risk and compliance leader who helps organisations realise their full potential through effective risk, compliance, audit, strategy, and governance practices. I am currently the Group Risk Business Partner for Cyber and Technology at Australia Post, where I am responsible for uplifting the management of technology and cyber risk across the organisation, including across the IT and OT environments. In my previous roles, I have partnered with several global and national organisations, including a leading, global cloud provider, to define technology, security, and compliance strategies and uplift technology assurance frameworks. I have also led large-scale technology transformation and modernisation programs across various industries, such as energy, mining, transport and logistics, and financial services. I have proven ability to drive large-scale cultural change with regards to technology risk management, demonstrated by reductions in overall incidents and problems caused by change. I thrive off delivering value, creating positive change, and holding aspirations to role-model these behaviours in a senior-leadership position as a CISO or CIO.
