About Giuseppe Leone

Born in Bisceglie (BT)(Italy) in 1979. Currently, he is a permanent researcher at ISMAC-CNR. He obtained the degree in Industrial Chemistry at University of Padova in 2005. He accomplished his thesis studies at Giulio Natta Research Center of LyondellBasell Industries in Ferrara. In 2006 he moved to Milan to gain a position for research activity at ISMAC within the European Project entitled "Designed Nanostructured Hybrid Polymers: Polymerisation Catalysis and Tecton Assembly". In 2007 he gain a fellowship for research activity on the synthesis and characterization of olefin, cycloolefin and diolefin based polymers by stereospecific catalysis. In 2007 he gained a master degree at Department of Mechanical Engineering and Management, University of Padua. In 2008 he moved back to the Giulio Natta Research Center in Ferrara. In 2009 he gained a grant position at ISMAC within the MIUR FIRB ELASTORAD project “Use of ionizing radiation, photochemical methods and nanochemistry on materials and in the process of tire manufacturing”. In 2009 he was awarded by ELSEVIER SCIENCE at European Polymer Congress. In 2014 he won the prize for «Innovation Eni» of Eni Award 2014 thanks to the discovery and development of a new catalytic process providing new diblock thermoplastic elastomers. He has co-authored of about 47 ISI publications most of which as first and corresponding author in high-impact factor journals, more than 20 patents, 5 chapter book, covering the synthesis of thermoplastics, elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers, polyolefins (PE, PP and ethylene and propylene copolymers), semicrystalline polymer materials, rubbers, advanced technopolymers and polymer hybrids for tire manufacturing, electronic applications, packaging, and automotive. https://scholar.google.it/citations?hl=it &
