About Giuseppe Petrone

Giuseppe Petrone got the Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2008 at the Second University of Naples (SUN) and the Master Degree in Aerospace and Astronautic Engineering in 2010 at the University of Naples Federico II. From May 2014 he is a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Naval and Quality Engineering at University of Napoli Federico II. During his PhD course (2011-2014) he was involved in European SUPERPANELS project (FP7-PEOPLE 2009 IRSES which funded his 8 months staying at CACM (Centre for Advanced in Composite Materials), research centre of the Department of the University of Auckland in New Zealand. During this time, he improved his knowledge on composite materials working on the manufacturing, mechanical characterization and dynamic testing (low velocity impact test and vibro-acoustic test) of sandwich panels and beams made of natural fibres combined with bio resin. These activities led to publish several works on this topic. His research interests lie in the area of noise, vibrations, harshness (NVH), structural health monitoring (SHM), static, dynamic and control of composite materials and sandwich structures. He is a member of AIDAA (Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics) and of AIAN (Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering Association of University of Naples Federico II). For these two associations he has been aprt of the orginizing commitee of several events and conference as AIDAA XXII. Away from work, his interests include walking, music and playing volley.
