About Giuseppe Ricchetti

I am an experienced Acute and General Medicine Physician, with a special interest in Acute Oncology, and a proven track record of managing unwell patients, while providing leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team. I am committed to delivering patient-centred, safe, and realistic medicine - improving patient outcomes through quality improvement initiatives, collaborative leadership, and mentorship. I strive to improve clinical outcomes by combining rapid, evidence-based decision-making with a collaborative, realistic approach to care. I have extensive experience in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)/ Ambulatory Care, where I have helped reduce hospital admissions and mentored allied health professionals such as Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs). I have a strong track record in developing care pathways for complex patients, improving links with oncology colleagues for better management of oncological emergencies, and leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety. I am also committed to teaching and mentoring, having trained junior doctors and allied health professionals through bedside teaching and simulation (SIM), ensuring that patient safety and best practices are always upheld.
