About Given Hapunda

Hello! Am a developmental and paediatric psychologist with interest in research methodologies, development of social-behavioural interventions and evaluation of programmes. Over the last 12 years, I have been lecturing psychology at the University in the following courses psychometrics, research methods, developmental psychology, health psychology, sensation and perception, and evaluation. I have also been active in research and consultancy. My passion to help organisations get the best out of their results, made me start a consultancy company Impact Managers. In 2019, I also started working on an M&E software the Impact Manager aimed at helping organisations streamline some of the challenges I have seen many of them go through in my professional life. Me and my team we’ve transformed Impact Managers into a broad-based consultancy company that includes capacity building, research, and social behavioural intervention design and management. Over time we have become interested in using technology in our research activities including using tablets, online tools and real life tracking tools for research that requires collecting data in real time when an event of interest occurs. As a founder of Impact Managers Ltd and the Impact Manager M&E software, I find myself serving in different platforms. I seat on the board of Barefeet a non-government organisation founded by former street children and in different technical committees. I am in the technical committee of Knowledge translation of the Zambia National Health Research Authority and the Regional Research Technical Team of the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN). I also serve on the different committees at the University of Zambia.
