Qualified health professional with over 16 year in acute care setting hospital. AHIMA member -RHIT credentials. I began as a unit secretary working on a telemetry floor. I transferred to the medical records department to gain additional experience as a RAC Recovering Audit Technician. My job task included Inpatient DRG current coding and claims auditor. Assist RAC Coordinator and DRG Coordinator to process patient claims that were requested for review through the MAC. In addition, I assisted DNFB coordinator with aswering physician queries. I am the central contact person for sending and receiving correspondence related to Recovery Audit Contractor RAC and Medicaid Intergrity Program (MIP) for all government claims recovery activities. I manage, monitor, support, and report on consistency and adequacy of the hospital response to RAC recovery request protecting patient privacy HIPAA. Strong knowledge of ICD9, CPT and ICD10 codes/ procedures. In addition, knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Physician Portal, Cerener, Epic, Mckesson, HPF, DCS, MS4, CAC, and 3M encoder.
