About Gladys Stephen

A successful instructor grows with continuous learning and listens to the audience before preaching. I believe these words, and I am privileged to have followed these. Embarking on a journey from being a student, researcher, postdoctoral fellow to a faculty has molded me to face and experience many challenges that have come throughout this journey. Cherishing what I have earned- Undergraduate, KITS - learned the art of developing drug targets for systemic lupus (skin disease) and excelled in the project. Master's programme, KITS - was awarded and appreciated for securing 1st place amongst a batch of 188 students. Ph.D. programme, NIT Trichy- was appreciated for publishing research articles in top-tier journals and was given high recommendation by one of the panel members to pursue a postdoctoral programme at IIT Madras. Postdoctoral fellowship, Teaching Assistant, IIT Madras - worked on areas such as responsible consumption and explored ways that would create a significant impact on the betterment of society and the environment. Faculty at IIMK - making effective use of knowledge and expertise gathered over these years and loving the journey of learning more. In addition, I have presented papers at the Academy of Marketing and American Marketing Association virtual conferences, 2021, invited as a resource person at various reputed institutions, invited as a session chair for national conferences, and a potential research reviewer in top tier journals. My research interests include - brand placement (IMC), Responsible Consumption, Sustainability, Cause-related Marketing, and Exploring the New Normal to understand the changes in the consumers' behavior.
