About Glen Carter

I joined the Alarm Industry with no technology experience in 1996. This fast paced and widely growing industry quickly became my home. I started out in this world as an alarm apprentice and quickly moved my way up as an alarm installer. It was here that I learned about a wide range of fire and burglar alarms such as Simon, GE, and First Alert panels. After installing for a while I decided I wanted to venture out on my own and in 2004, I opened a security of my own. I built the foundation of my company on customer service and new innovative technology such as home automation, networking solutions and IP cameras. While my company was growing, so was my knowledge. I began to attend workshops, classes and kept my head in many books and websites to keep up with the trends and new technology that was debuting in the industry. While my company was extremely successful and running my own business was a dream, I was presented with an opportunity that I couldn't pass up. I returned to the family that introduced me to this industry and we began to draw up plans to build Global Monitoring Solutions. I personally designed and built the Infrastructure that powers Global Monitoring Solutions. To this day, I use my knowledge to teach our team and help them to understand signaling and troubleshooting techniques as well as customer service skills which set our Central Station apart from others. Global Monitoring Solutions merged with Legacy Security Services in 2022. The change has introduced many more products and services for our dealers.
