Glen Gates is a C level senior executive manager in air cargo. His guidance, core philosophies and strong principles have generated profitable growth for his employers especially in turnaround and crisis management environments. Employing the principles of reliability, empowerment, integrity, hard work, logical reasoning, analysis and collaboration with others, Mr. Gates has the proven ability to visualize, plan, control, staff, organize, develop and implement policies and procedures that meet customer expectations and keep them coming back. Identifying strategic opportunities to capitalize on transportation networks and software applications to meet customer, financial and operational objectives has been a key responsibility. Maintaining and cultivating good relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers are primary tactics and one of the cornerstones on which Mr. Gates built his success. Finding and trusting the right people and open communication is the second leg of the overall strategy. A third element is the commitment to promote and support strategic initiatives including pricing, product development, and the place to test and roll out new sales tactics that have proven successful in commercial and government operations. When it comes to day-to-day business, Mr. Gates provides strategic direction and vision for programs using philosophies of continuous improvement, performance measurement, strong knowledge of the competition, unit cost analysis, training and stringent financial controls. This day-to-day focus ensures alignment with the overall strategy. Implementing aggressive business development objectives, strategies and tactics that drive value through insightful targeting and capture of key customers encompasses the market planning and capture process. Part of the target and capture process includes managing lead generation and the process to convert a lead to a long term, repeat business sale. Mr. Gates has extensive experience in airline planning, financial analysis, contracts administration, leading teams and implementing global air transportation networks. Mr. Gates has a B.S. Air Commerce & Transportation Technology from Florida Tech and enjoys sports cars, flying and sailing. Mr. Gates is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors at Adjust My Mission, a non-profit LLC set up to assist underprivileged women and children. Mr. Gates is the past Chairman – Board of Advisors, School of Aeronautics at Florida Tech.
