About Glen Teng

Ever since I started secondary school, I craved the creativity that was lacking in a usual Singaporean-born student’s life, where the education here is in a way restricted and very mundane. First thing that got me into design was an article about Kengo Kuma’s work and I felt that it was what I wanted to be able to achieve out of this fast paced and chaotic lifestyle in Singapore. Hence when I was 16, I took this chance to make a switch from a math and science combination towards the artistic direction and I have never regretted that choice. And my passion for design did not stop, even when I had just finished my diploma and was waiting for my National Service, I continued to look for design jobs in that period where I could use that time to take a break from what I have been doing for the past 3 years. I do not only see design as a way to make things look aesthetically pleasing, but to also tell a story and express our thoughts and emotions. I feel that I am a very dependable individual regardless of situations and circumstance. I care about my job and colleagues deeply, and will be willing to other help in any way possible.
