About Glenn Atkins

l have a vast amount of experience and knowledge regarding Civil / Construction / Fabrication / Mining Infrastructure / Oil and Gas (Both Refinery and Offshore Platforms)/ Automation / Electrical including Demolition and De-commissioning. l have also managed sub-contractors and direct staff on projects up to 450 persons. I have also managed complete turnkey projects (values ranging from $50K – to in excess of $100 million) as l understand all aspects of Civil, SMP, Electrical, Instrumentation and Commissioning. Prior to my construction experience, l have over 10 years experience in the preventative maintenance field. I spent most of those years working with BHP on continuous rolling Steel Mills; these roles included shutdowns, short stoppages and planned down days. I am extremely safety conscious and I pride myself on this. l have knowledge and experience of the many safety procedures without any doubts. I have been employed on some of the most unionised sites in Australia in recent times and have a wealth of IR/HR experience. I have been involved in some of the biggest projects within the industry for the past 20 years with some of the largest companies including BHP, Rio Tinto, Hitachi, Xstrata, Origin Energy, Worley Parsons, Holcim Concrete, Chevron, Roche/ Downer Mining and Built Environs. I have liaised with many nationalities over the years, some of which have included Japanese, Korean, Philippines and American, all which formed either part of our project team or the Clients.
