Select, train, develop and motivate exempt staff who support a 24/7/365 operation. develops systems to provide day to day evaluation of flight optimization, to include analysis capability by flight, product and origin/destination pairings. supports the integrity of the domestic and international flight schedules and makes tactical decisions to ensure service commitments are achieved for all products. manages the day to day activities of the international schedules with respect to maintaining product integrity and reliability, as well as, directing the implementation of alternative service solutions due to disruptions with service. communicates and coordinates with international marketing on proposed new services that support the long term goal of each respective division. implements the overall long term vision and strategy for the global freight movement center. directs and advises key us hubs of loading priorities for us and int'l flights and commitments of all services when overflow situation occurs. effectively manages backlogs to include setting up extra section flights and trucks when needed. advises and coordinates with executive management, sales and planning organizations globally on specific customer shipments that impact scheduled system form and may require additional lift. acts as liaison with international division, other fmcs, goc, hubs, and ramps to effectively manage flight schedules, freight priorities and backlogs. acts as a key team member for operational contingency planning due to situations beyond fedex control.
