About Glenn Chamberlain

Glenn was educated at the Royal Military College of Canada and spent 21 years in the Canadian Forces, originally as a sea-going naval officer and then 14 years as a Public Affairs Officer. Among his accomplishments, he served as the senior spokesman for the NATO-led peacekeeping force in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and led the Navy’s media response effort in the immediate aftermath of the crash of SwissAir Flight in 1998. After retiring from military service in 2001 as the Senior Public Affairs Officer with the Navy in Halifax, he joined the Public Service as the Regional Director of Communications with Justice Canada. Subsequently, he held the Regional Director position with Communications Canada in Halifax, an office which later formed part of the Privy Council Office and then Treasury Board (Secretariat). For six years Glenn served as the Regional Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises with Public Services and Procurement Canada in Halifax, helping federal suppliers learn how to optimize their opportunities to provide goods and services to the Government of Canada. In his final role before recently retiring from the federal public service, Glenn served as the Regional Director of Human Resources.
