About Glenn Davis

I came from New York to Berkeley to take a summer class in "TV Studio Operations" at SF State. Before that ended I was offered a summer internship at KTVU-TV, Oakland as a film editor. Three years later I left to follow my passion as a producer and got lucky when KGO TV offered me a chance to do just that. I began to produce documentaries, game shows, live shows and studio programs and significantly sharpened my writing and interviewing skills. Again I was lucky when offered a chance to produce a special at KABC LA and before I completed it, I was offered a position as Executive in Charge of Production for Viacom's struggling new cable network - The Cable Health Network. Just five of us put that network on the air. The joke was that we got our daily exercise by "climbing the walls." My job was as liaison between the network and our independent producers. Overseeing more than a dozen productions, series and specials, I learned to work with a variety of technical, creative and executive personalities, track their deals and deliver programming that met network expectations. Since my return to the San Francisco Bay Area I’ve been a freelance writer, producer and director for corporations, non-profits and individuals. I even produced projects of my own, including "Trans Francisco", a feature-length documentary shown at local and international festivals. But by far I am most proud of my role as “Dad” to my two daughters. Doesn’t get better than that. Need an “outside-the-box” thinker? As a seasoned writer, producer and director I continue to create unique and compelling content for marketing, informational, entertainment, promotion and instructional programs, from "go" to "gone." It's been a long walk, and a lot of hard work with some very good people. But I’m still always eager to learn something new, and I don’t take myself too seriously.
