About Glenn Ellis

I’m an analytical and results-oriented school leader with a detailed history of translating strategies into actionable solutions that drive comprehensive school improvement. I have a strong foundation in curriculum design and development in addition to project management, teacher training and development, differentiated instruction, STEM, ESL, and more. I’m also a Professional Wedding, Sports and Event photographer with Certified Adobe Educator designation and numerous other certifications and training; and I keep my thumb on pulse of new best practices, tools, and technologies. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of serving in numerous key roles including (but not limited to) University Instructor, Ontario College of Teachers Faculty of Education Accreditation Panel, eLearning Educator, Secondary Educator, Secondary ICT Consultant, and most recently, Department Head, Co-Op, Trades, & Technology, the Ottawa Technical Secondary School. I’ve participated and presented in numerous conferences and committees over my career, while garnering a few awards and accolades including the OCDSB Dale Brown Trades & Technology Award of Excellence (2021), RBC Bluesfest Photojournalist of the Year Award (2019), and the Dick Hopkins’ Provincial Award of Excellence (2015). At my core is the passion to work in a team framework to investigate, architect, and deliver bespoke solutions that match the needs of the students and districts I support; and I’ve developed and managed the delivery of curricular units which integrate technology and other content areas across multiple grade levels. I live in Ottawa.
