About Glenn Foley

Having been swinging a hammer since I could walk once completing High School I went into a labouring job where I was quickly offered a Building Apprenticeship, time was spent working with a developer on Bungalows, Villas and Light Commercial Projects, through this time I placed First Equal in a Building Apprentice competition and learnt a range of skills from my collegues. Upon completing my Apprenticeship I set up Foley Construction with a team of up to 14 staff we undertook a range of projects including renovations, maintenance and new build work throughout Auckland. I enjoyed leading a team, doing quality work and providing a good product to our customers. We also undertook Medical Equipment installation projects and when an opportunity presented itself to take on this installation work full time we relocated to Christchurch. In the roles at Arjo I have managed projects from one day through to multiple years building good relationships with various contractors and stakeholders throughout the construction and medical industries. Experience has included, managing installers and service technicians, being a product specialist, product sales, SAP implementations, service software key user, project presentations, engineering and design of installation systems. Through this role i've worked in a variety of facilities including Hospitals, Aged care, Education and the Private homes and it is rewarding being able to make a difference to staff and users everyday lives. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family and various outdoor pursuits including Mountain Biking and Camping and in 2022 rode Cape Reinga to Bluff on the Tour Aotearoa which was an awesome experience. I'm on the committee for the Kaiapoi Food Forest and enjoy being involved in the local community.
