With over 20 years as an Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Professional, I've learned that the only thing that remains constant in the world of Health and Safety is that it's constantly evolving and growing, and we as professionals must be able to adapt quickly to every change. My skills to help me keep up include- The development and implementation of Programs, Procedures and Safe Work Practices- The development and facilitation of training and information material- Hazard assessments for various industry types- Knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal Legislation- Work site inspections, audits and observations- Incident investigations and Early and Safe Return to Work- ISO14001, ISO45001 and OHSAS18001 Management System development, implementation and maintenance- ISO14001, ISO45001 and OHSAS18001 Auditor training - and much more. My approach to Safety in the workplace involves honesty, integrity, respect, patients and communication. Safety needs to go beyond being a priority, it needs to be integrated in everything we do.
