About Glenn Rivera

I never wanted to be a great person. As much as I am benefiting from my beloved organization/society, I help other young people like me achieve their full potentials and realize their dreams. Meanwhile, in my public life as a young writer, biographer, researcher and social scientist, I have worked in the following manner: 1. Researcher 2. Writer 3. Media person and “photo-documentor” 4. Organizational planner 5. Liaison officer As such, the organizational work that I performed had to do with activities that are beyond the scope of research work, as detailed in my work schedules. Such workloads do not necessarily show how flexible my abilities are but they do reflect how my personality is able to handle daily organizational challenges and development. Multiple skills are also developed as a result of these opportunities for learning. From the beginning of the year until November 30, 2011, I have worked on several research projects. These regular projects, included but were not limited to, the Studies on Social Protection and Security (with focus on the and GSIS), A Case Study on Social Protection, A Comparative Paper on Minimum Wage Laws and Systems in Asia, A Paper on Precarious Employment Patterns in the Metalworking Industry, DHL and LBC industry profiling and data gathering, baseline research in the broadcasting industry, and regular researches on key economic, political, industrial and labor indicators and variables. I also did some minor work on labor updates and several statistical data that describe the economic, political and social situation of the country. Since May 26, 2014, I have been blessed to be a public school teacher in a local school in our beloved province of Masbate. Specializing in classroom supervision and instruction, my work centers on helping young learners overcome intellectual poverty as well as ignorance. I am ensuring that children become more knowledgeable about 21st Century Skills. I currently have a family, having one child. I am looking forward to helping her cope with the difficulties of the times, especially amidst the "new normal","COVID-19 Pandemic" and "blended learning" in education. I offer to God whatever I have achieved so far. Being a teacher had several hurdles as well as feats, one having reached the 87.20 mark as a passing rate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers and getting more than 90 percent in the English Proficiency Test, where I also topped. I may not receive a high salary (yet) but this work is more than so rewarding and self-fulfilling. To God be all the Glory!
