About Glenn Tan

I am a Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for building and designing products that improve the quality of life for individuals Having worked in a design consultancy and hardware incubator, I am also equipped with CAD skills with software such as SolidWorks as well as rendering software like KeyShot to provide design visualisations for customers for their products. Currently, I am interested in pursuing a career in robotics, specifically in the medical field. I have completed an internship in the US with one of the largest private pharmaceutical company in the world, and through that experience I have gained understanding in the various International Regulations and standards required in this field. Most recently, I interned as a Software Developer for ROS industrial, focusing on robotic manipulation and Computer Vision solutions specifically targeted at FMCG companies. Outside of school work, I have spent time brainstorming and coming up with new ideas for projects to undertake that would be both meaningful and fun. For example, together with a team consisting of my classmates, we designed and built a low cost wireless keyboard for people with disabilities such as visual impairment as well as people with limited mobility.
