My personal mission is to break the silence surrounding the benefits of a living kidney donor transplant to help the people on the transplant waiting list. I provide education and one-on-one support for people who want to learn more about living kidney donation. My audiences include health care professionals, potential kidney donors, those with kidney disease, and family members. I have been a nephrology nurse for over 40 years and I donated my kidney to a stranger in 2017. Along with my daughter, I am the co-founder and executive director of Kidney Donor Conversations, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit. As a holistic nurse, I provide Healing Touch, Guided Imagery, and Aromatherapy, supporting people going through their cancer journey. My joyful life is expressed through hula hoops, roller skates, crocheting, and Tae Kwon Do.
