About Gloria Baucham

My experience in re-inventing myself within my chosen profession has worked well for me. I have worked successfully as a Hospital Pharmacist for Veterans' Hospital full time and many other Hospitals via the Registry until now. I have worked as a Retail Pharmacist for Sav-On Drugs full time and other retail pharmacies via the registry. It was while working with Pharmacy Technicians that I decided to write a Pharmacy Technician curriculum that included more Physiology and Anatomy for a local college and ended up teaching the course for the evening classes at the school which led me into a part time career in Education. Through the hospital Pharmaceutical representatives who called on the hospitals I became interested in becoming a Representative. I worked for Hoechst Pharmaceuticals and Glaxo Pharmaceuticals while I continued teaching as a part time career and moonlighting on weekends in Hospital and Retail Pharmacies. I was offered a position at Career Colleges as Academic Dean of all discipline and decided to try it and it worked out. I have founded a health food supplement company, Liv 'N' Glo, Inc, a Higher Education school of three campus, Imagine Institute, Inc. which led to the consulting company Imagine, Inc which I am now managing. My avocation has always been writing. It became a vocation when I became a Hypertensive Specialist for my division at Hoechst Pharmaceuticals. I wrote technical papers on the disease state and how it would be treated in the future. This led to my interest in Technical Writing. My speech writing and youth mentoring came when I accepted the responsibility for being Youth Director at my church. Over the 11 years that I served as Youth Director, mentoring became a natural part of who I am. My Speech Writing had its birth when I became a part of the Speaker's Forum at Planned Parenthood and on behalf of Childhood Obesity. These two tailgate career avocations have just become a vocation!
