About Glorimar Rivero

Mrs. Rivero obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, a Professional Diploma in Risk & Insurance and an Master in Business Administration from the from The College of Insurance in New York. Currently possess IIA, CIC insurance certifications and has pending three exams for final CPCU certification. With more than 20 years of experience, she began her career in 1993 with Universal Insurance Company in PR. A year later she decided to pursue her MBA specializing in risk management and insurance. Upon her return from the US, she was hired by the Secretary of the Treasury, in order to direct their Public Insurance Office and assist in the contractual arrangements of governmental insurance purchase. After 3 years of public service, she returned to the private sector, to Universal Insurance Company, where she developed a Specialty Lines Division. Later on, she joined ACE and assumed the responsibility of developing a Professional Liability Division for ACE and later assumed the Country Manager position until 2016. Her position at ACE was affected by ACE acquisition of Chubb. Immediately, Liberty. Mutual offered her the challenge of revamping their Puerto Rico operations. With total success she was able to triplicate production in a two year span. Automating processes became and improving customer service became the bread and butter of the team focus. Currently, she an avid follower on Insurtech impact on day to day operations and is actively involved in AI and blockchain initiatives for Liberty Mutual Latin America division LSM. Specialties: I’m a proud mother of a JHU undergrad. I enjoyed teaching my daughter the beauty of being a woman in today’s business world.
