About Glory Gervacio
Glory Gervacio is the Director of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Glory oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of internal equal employment opportunity (EEO) and civil rights programs, including investigations, compliance, and affirmative employment programs. She also leads agency-wide initiatives to promote non-discrimination practices.Prior to serving as Director, Glory was the Program Analysis Officer for EEOC’s Office of Field Programs (OFP), Field Management Programs (FMP). In this capacity, she was responsible for the nationwide monitoring and oversight of the managerial, programmatic, technical, and administrative functions of the agency’s 53 field offices. Glory began her career with the Commission as an Enforcement Investigator in 2001. Over the years, she has served in various leadership positions within the agency, to include Director of the Honolulu Local Office and Director of the Raleigh Area Office.In 2015, Glory was appointed to the White House Initiative on Asian Americans Native Hawaiians & Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) Regional Network for Region IX (Hawaii and Pacific), and served as Lead for Region IV (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee). She represented the EEOC in WHIAANHPI’s Interagency Work Group (IWG).Glory has been the recipient of several key agency awards, including the 2020 EEOC Chair’s Meritorious Achievement Award and the 2014 EEOC Chair’s Bronze Medal Award for Advancing Equality through Excellence.Glory was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was an Executive Committee member for the Honolulu Pacific Federal Executive Board (HPFEB) from 2019-2020. She was a board member for the EEOC’s Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Network. She is also a board member of the Asian American Government Executive Network (AAGEN). Glory serves as a senior mentor at Pan Pacific American Leaders and Mentors (PPALM).
