I am continuing to operate on urgent cases following knee injuries.I am a Knee Surgeon based in Central London at HCA Diagnostics in The Shard and at London Bridge Hospital since 2004. I treat young adults with sports related knee injuries and older patients with early wear and tear, and established arthritis of the knee. I qualified in Cardiff in 1975 and then trained in Liverpool, Edinburgh and Nottingham before completing my orthopaedic training in Hampshire. I have been performing knee arthroscopies and knee replacements since 1985. During my first decade as a consultant I did several thousand joint replacements including hips and knees and developed an interest in partial knee replacements. In 2004 I decided to concentrate solely on the investigation and treatment of knee disorders and joined the London Knee Clinic at London Bridge Hospital. Since then I have performed between 250 and 300 knee operations per year including ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstructions, partial / total knee replacements and correction of bony deformities (osteotomies).I am a conservative surgeon and operate on a relatively small percentage of cases working closely with physiotherapists, sports injury physicians and rheumatologists.
