About Gonen Daskal

I am a freelance consultant with over 20 years of experience in medical device and life science development, where I have had the opportunity to contribute to bringing innovative concepts from early ideas through to commercial products. My background combines mechanical design engineering with experience in product development and team collaboration. I have been fortunate to participate in several medical technology projects through their complete development cycles. During Equashield's early startup phase, I contributed to the development of their CSTD technology, which has since become one of the leading products on the market for safe handling of hazardous drugs. I had the opportunity to lead the development of their automated Pharmacy Compounding System (Equashield Pro). This project was recognized with international design awards in 2018 and is now used in hospitals worldwide. My mechanical design background encompasses various manufacturing technologies and medical device standards, which enables me to create designs that balance performance requirements with production considerations. I enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the integration of mechanical, software, and control systems to address clinical challenges. This combination of technical knowledge, product development experience, and understanding of the healthcare sector is valuable when contributing to R&D projects from early stages through market introduction. Through collaboration with medical professionals and participation in clinical pilot programs, I have gained valuable insights into healthcare workflows and clinical needs. This experience helps me translate clinical requirements and market feedback into practical engineering solutions.
