About Goran Cacic

A professional with 15+ years of experience in energy management, sustainable energy and renewable energy. Currently researching and working in the fields of Community Energy, Energy Management, Sustainable Energy Systems and overall Sustainable Development. Experienced in project management with strong energy conservation background including capacity building and setting up of improved operational processes and organizational structures for continuous, active and sustainable resource and energy management. Proud of the fact that I was a Project manager and one of the lead experts within the team responsible for establishment of the national Energy Management Information System (EMIS) in Croatia (a database with technical and energy consumption data that now includes more than 16.300 public buildings in Croatia) and I am still actively providing expert support on replication of the developed approaches and development and implementation of new projects of systematic energy management. Lately I am actively providing expert support in development of new approaches for inclusion of citizens in energy related projects, establishment and growth of energy cooperatives and energy communities and development of modes of cooperation between energy cooperatives/communities and public sector bodies.
