About Gordon Babe

I’ve spent my career running cases everywhere from Small Claims to the High Court. For many years I had a particular focus on medical-negligence but always resisted the siren's song of specialising in it. Instead, I ran everything from high-value contract disputes to low-range PCA offences, and for some reason more than a handful of matters about the artificial insemination of cattle. I've always loved the variety that comes with a generalist practice and consider myself a better lawyer for that broad experience. But having haunted the corridors of justice for my entire adult life (more-or-less), I recently put my wig back into its tin for the last time. I'm now the Senior Disputes Lawyer at Western Sydney University (and, for my sins, occasionally the Acting General Counsel), where I use all my hard-won experience to do some good in a slightly different way.
