Gordon McLeod is a top-producing agent for The McEnery Company’s commercial brokerage division and has been recognized as The McEnery Company’s “Top Producer” in multiple years by closing over $100 million in leasing and sales transactions for the company since 2019. Gordon employs a thoughtful, sophisticated approach to brokerage to help his diverse client base meet and often exceed their goals, regularly engaged in real estate sales of a broad range of asset classes, including hospitality, retail, high-end residential, mixed-use, and industrial properties. Gordon is regularly engaged in both fee-based and personal real estate development and is responsible for over $40 million in private sector investment in the rehabilitation of historic buildings, In 2019, Gordon personally delivered the mixed-use redevelopment of 19th century former public-school building which achieved national notoriety by being named one of the National Park Services best projects for 2021. Gordon recently founded Restoration Property Co. the acquire properties needing restoration to return to productive use. The first project will be the restoration of a unique 19th century Italianate center hall residence Uptown. The property was acquired in large part to prevent the giant quadrable lot from being over developed with new vanilla residences which would compromise the historic character of this property individually as well as the neighborhood. Gordon is also currently leading several other development projects around town, including the development and construction of The George Hotel in the CBD, a residential restoration Uptown, and the adaptive re-use of a Historic Landmark carriage house in the Gardon District. He is also pursuing a catalytic reinvestment into a critical node of the French Quarter, centered on the rehabilitation of a historic hotel property. Gordon stays active in civic affairs by serving on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Crime Commission and GNO, Inc.’s NextGen Council. Gordon strongly believes in civic service and stays very active in the community. He is a past President of the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans Board of Directors as well as the Board of the New Orleans Chapter of Young Presidents Organization NextGen (YNG). He is very active with Trinity Episcopal, where his family attends church and school, serving on several committees, including the Titan Fund, and the Building and Grounds Committee, where has been appointed Chairman of the ongoing Nursery Construction Committee. gordon@mceneryco.com
