About Gorgi Krlev

Learn more about my work on my website: I am intrigued by how organizations create sustainable value for society through, for example: social innovation, entrepreneurship, or impact investing. My interest extends equally to (1) responsible business, including social and impact-driven start-ups, or CSR,(2) nonprofits, philanthropy, and civil society, and (3) new forms of government and progressive public administration. I am most excited about settings where a variety of actors engage jointly. Within these settings, I investigate organizations' governance, strategy, collaborative decision-making, and impact management. But also their institutional context, including policy, media or perceptional frameworks. I have edited and authored Social Innovation: Comparative Perspectives that received a best book award from the Academy of Management (AOM). Our new book Social Economy Science: Transforming the Economy and Making Society More Resilient received the Virginia A. Hodgkinson Prize for research with practical and policy impacts. TRANSFORM, an open-source platform on innovation and entrepreneurship for sustainability that I lead-developed, won a responsible business education award by the Financial Times. And I was selected as a Best 40-Under-40 MBA Professor by Poets & Quants as well as 40-Under-40 in Science and Society by CAPITAL. In addition to my research and teaching activities, I promote sustainability impacts in practice and policy through my various roles.
