Goutham Kothari is the founder and chairman of MRK Group of companies. He was born at Bhim, in Rajasthan on July 1, 1975. He completed his education in Chennai. In 1995, he began his entrepreneurial journey by selling Gold Jewellery from a 32 sq ft shop in Bengaluru. Today, his jewellery selling space is more than 5400 sq ft in the center of Bengaluru, and he is a market leader in B2B jewellery sales with a turnover exceeding 100 crores per annum. He is well known amongst the top manufacturers of jewellery in India, because of his hard work, dedication, sincerityand intelligence. In his mission to provide value addition to his customers, he started offering a full value buy back option. This scheme instantly resonated well with customer expectations. This gave his business a much-needed push to transition from its inception phase of having just 50 clients, to grow and achieve more than happy clients. He focused on a key principle: sell pure gold.This learning helped him to run the business successfully, and to be a part of the lives of countless people. He has built a relation of trust with his customers, and he enjoys the reputation of being a specialist in delivering qualitative products in the traditional jewellery segment. The year 2014-15 turned to be very auspicious for his MRK brand. In this period, he established the parent company – MRK LLP and a host of other subsidiaries. MRK Chains & Jewels: caters to B2B market of daily use light weight jewellery Acknowledging his success, the Jewellery Association of Bengaluru (JAB) awarded him the “Gem of Karnataka” award in 2016. Mr. Goutham has also been active in the organizations created to unify the Jewellery industry: He is a proud member of GJC South Zone committee since 2020 & He is Director at Jewellery Association of Bengaluru (JAB) since 2020. Mr. Goutham’s true passion however lies in technology. And following his passion he set up MRK InnoApps Pvt. Ltd in 2014, to create new affordable enterprise products for the entire MSME sector. “Ordofy” is the flagship product of MRK InnoApps, created as per his vision for the MSME sector. He is also the founder of MRK Smart Solutions LLP (2021), which focuses on providing IoT enabled services to the Indian businesses.
