About Govind Parameswaran

I am a graduate in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from University of Wisconsin-Madison. During my time in the industry I have worked simultaneously on various aspects of New Product Development and Product Quality Planning as well as large scale manufacturing. I have worked extensively on automotive quality systems and been involved in projects for major American and Japanese automobile OEMs, healthcare device manufacturers, construction and other heavy vehicle manufacturers. I have extensive working knowledge of ISO 9001 and TS 16949 and have implemented them in different projects for various OEMs. I have had the opportunity to work with different suppliers working in various manufacturing processes ranging from plastic injection molding to laser cutting and welding. As such, my breadth of knowledge ranges across various materials used in the industry. A major part of my time in the industry was spent working in the plastic industry. I have taken the lead role in various continuous improvement projects using six sigma principles to reduce production times, lead times and increase product quality. My main skills are: Production part approval process, FMEAs, Manufacturing Engineering, Value Stream mapping, root cause analysis.
