About Grace Albert
I am a NYS certified Visual Arts Teacher and Freelance Artist pursuing a career in K-12 Art Education. Over the last 8 years, I've built my freelance art business by participating in local and state art shows, creating commissioned pieces, and hosting painting events for local communities. Through developing my own business and working in various art instruction roles, I realized I could combine my passion for art and my love for education. In 2020, I jumped into a Master of Arts in Teaching program for Visual Arts (K-12), with an expected graduation of May 2023. I completed 100 hours at Howell Road Elementary School in Fall 2021, and 250 hours at Wantagh High School in Spring 2022. Currently, I am a Full Time K-5 Art Teacher at two Baldwin Elementary Schools. My goal is to inspire creativity and artistic direction in students while teaching them technical skills they can apply to real-world scenarios outside of the art realm.
