About Grace Angell

I am an International Affairs graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus on global changemaking, particularly in human rights, environmental sustainability, and education. With a minor in Philosophy, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to addressing complex global challenges. Through study abroad experiences in Madrid and Costa Rica, I gained in-depth knowledge of international migration, human rights, environmental sustainability, and ecotourism. In Madrid, I studied globalization and human rights, while in Costa Rica, I expanded my understanding of sustainable development. I also strengthened my proficiency in Spanish, enabling me to effectively communicate in diverse environments. In addition to my academic background, I’ve had hands-on experience through internships and volunteer work. At Parque La Libertad in Costa Rica, I taught English and technology to youth, helping to empower the next generation. In Guatemala, I assisted in rural health clinics with Volunteers Around the World, gaining valuable insights into global healthcare challenges and patient support in underserved communities. I was also involved with the Transformations Community, a global network of practitioners and researchers working to address climate change and social-ecological challenges through systems thinking. In this role, I helped prepare for the community’s annual conference, coordinating proposals, managing communications, and contributing to event logistics. This experience deepened my understanding of how systems thinking can be applied to create holistic, sustainable solutions to complex issues. I am passionate about contributing to efforts that promote sustainable development, human rights, and education. My background in systems thinking and global experience equips me to approach problems from a collaborative, interconnected perspective. Proficient in Spanish, I am comfortable working in cross-cultural settings and am eager to continue developing my language skills to support my global changemaking goals. I look forward to connecting with others committed to creating positive, lasting impact in the world.
