About Grace B. Mueller
Grace B. Mueller, PhD is a Lecturer of Political Science at Southern Methodist University (SMU). She received her PhD in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2022. Her dissertation consisted of three interrelated projects that explored how cybersecurity affects trade relations, militarized conflict behavior, and espionage patterns. Following her time at UT Dallas, Mueller was a postdoctoral research fellow for the Army Cyber Institute at West Point, working with the Cyber Law & Policy team. Prior to her doctoral and postdoctoral studies, Mueller earned a Master of Education from SMU, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and minoring in French and Education. Mueller’s current research explores how cyberspace affects various aspects of international relations, and particularly its role in conflict and warfighting. Along with her interests in cybersecurity, she has also co-authored projects related to peacekeeping, including a forthcoming book, When Multiple Missions Collide (Oxford University Press).
