About Grace Blackmon

I’m currently a junior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Promotional Management. While I’m still exploring my exact career path after graduation, I know that I want to work in a creative environment where I’m passionate about what I do. I’m also strongly considering pursuing a master’s degree to further expand my opportunities and skill set.Throughout the years, I’ve gained experience in a variety of roles that have helped me develop a well-rounded skill set. I started babysitting at a young age, which taught me responsibility and time management. I later began coaching CrossFit at Iron Boot Fitness—something I’m passionate about and continue to do. During my senior year of high school, I worked as a dental assistant to explore potential career interests before deciding on my current field of study. While in college, I’ve continued to coach CrossFit at Ragin Fitness, work at Caroline’s Cookies, and even started my own charcuterie business. Most recently, I began an internship in Media and Communications at Mid State Supply, where I’m gaining valuable hands-on experience in content creation, internal communication, and brand messaging. These experiences have strengthened my communication, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills and have helped shape my understanding of the professional world.
