About Grace Curry

In 2013, I graduated from ~The~ Ohio State University and I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion and Retail Studies, with a focus in Business. My interests within my area of study include but are not limited to: hospitality, consumer sciences, corporate social responsibility, human labor laws, merchandising buying and management, and many more. Many peers and colleagues have told me that I have a contagious, bubbly, bright personality and that I make a great people person. I consider myself a 'moldable' person; I can easily adapt to any new situation, and make the most of it and be successful. Recently (Aug. 2020) I was laid off at WeWork, working as a community lead of operations and previously a Community Associate. At WeWork (Circa Building), I was able to flex my people skill muscles while also enjoying problem solving tasks and the attention to detail in my building. I really enjoy being in a role where I can use all my skills to the best of my ability. I always ensured that the space is a functional, clean, working environment as well as bringing comfort, and aesthetically pleasing surroundings. I had the pleasure of working with many cross functional teams (IT, facilities, cleaning) as well as 3rd party vendors where I gained a lot of experience collaborating with others.While I was a Community Associate, I was at the front desk and as the face of WeWork (The Lab) I created a welcoming, warm, and collaborative environment. I was always trying to provide the best possible customer service with a ‘nothing is impossible’ attitude. I also created community initiatives designed to develop connections between members through promotion and logistics of planning events. The wide variety of events included: yoga, happy hours, Denver startup week, financial advisors, headshots, whiskey tastings, live art, and more.Prior to WeWork, I was at EF High School Exchange Year, a non-profit foreign exchange student program. I started by recruiting and hiring coordinators for the program all across the United States. From there I was promoted as a placement manager, where I then managed and worked with the program coordinators to help them hit their goals and overcome challenges.
