About Grace Dwalibi

I am a passionate, dedicated Christian Teacher Librarian devoted to engaging with students within a Christian education worldview. My areas of passion lie in fostering in students a love of reading and equipping students with Information Literacy skills. I believe books and reading bring many benefits to children such as increased educational outcomes and develops a greater sense of empathy and increases well-being. Information Literacy skills help equip students with the tools necessary to navigate a changing world. Having worked in school libraries for over 7 years, I have extensive experience with-All aspects of Collection Management, including cataloguing, identifying and filling gaps in the collection, maintaining the Textbook collection, implementing and conducting regular stocktake-All aspects of Library Administration, including writing and updating library procedures; maintaining budget records and documentation and creating displays, including digital displays-All aspects of Library Services, including managing student behavior in the Library; supporting students and staff in the use of library resources and services; writing, delivering and managing a Library Monitor program for students in Years 4-8; borrowing and returning-Aspects of Technology, including troubleshooting and resolving basic technology malfunctions for staff and students; managing and maintaining the Library website and Library Blog; managing Wheelers ePlatform (eBook and Audiobook platform). I also have extensive Teaching experience-Writing and teaching Library programs for Stage 1-3 focusing on Literature and Information Literacy -Interpreting assessment data to inform teaching and learning -Scaffolding activities for students according to their ability -Implementing policies and procedures for efficient classroom operations, and successfully managing students’ activities and behaviour.
