About Grace Dwyer
My experience working as a freelance tutor and volunteering as a classroom mentor for disengaged students was so impactful, it prompted me to change my career trajectory from Psychology to Teaching. As a graduate teacher, I am continually developing my teacher-identity, striving to be student-centred, collaborative, research-driven, creative and resilient. My time as a "Student Engagement Officer" has equipped me with a range of highly transferable skills for classroom teaching; rapport building, behavioural leadership, and communicating respectfully and constructively with guardians and colleagues as part of a learning community.
