About Grace Fields

I am a young professional passionate about managing and conserving our ecosystems. My interests are primarily in remediating harms from disturbances and reducing the risk of climate-influenced disasters such as wildfire and drought. I work for Living Lakes Canada as a Water Monitoring Coordinator where my main area of focus is supporting monitoring that is tracking the effects of climate change on water quantity in the Columbia Basin. My time is often split between fieldwork and data collection, data management and processing, project coordination, and fundraising. I have a BSc in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of British Columbia, where I built hands-on skills while learning how to approach conservation and ecology ethically and holistically.
