Hi everyone, my name is Grace Gordon and I am currently a Senior at Texas Woman's University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. I graduate this upcoming Spring in 2023. As any other college student has experienced before or during their journey, they ponder what path they should take; Well, the path I took was the STEM route. It wasn't easy to choose for I was undecided and chose to give this field a chance and it turned out I found out this path was for me; I want to be a part of the STEM/Computer Science community. My passion in this field is to not only evolve our world and help others with our advanced technology but to help myself blossom and experience the endless opportunities of expanding my knowledge. I want to be able to do a bit of everything but also to find my rightful place in the career I want. It's more than a job, it's a dream that I want to pursue. Now as a young adult that has experienced and learned many things on their journey, this passion and interest I have is stronger than ever before. I am so close to completing my bachelor’s degree that I am ready to actively participate in this tech industry. So patiently and excited to find opportunities that will give me the chance in this field. Although I am just a senior in college, I am willing to learn anything and everything to be able to work to build myself of skills, knowledge and experiences. Specifically, I want to be able to be part of a team/ company that creates products and designs of new functions and creations. I want to be able to look at a product, big or small and say “yeah I help make that”. Whether the job is big or small I believe every role matters to make something new. It’s weird to say, but I enjoy doing the excessive hard parts that create the base of the function and lead up to something extraordinary. Although I am very keen on roles that involve development, engineering, and designing, I am also open to any other opportunities and will be excited to learn more about them.
