I’m a multi-disciplinary artist with extensive experience in theater, ceramics, dance, sculpture, and photography. My work as an art therapist is existential at heart, within a climate justice framework. I specialize in trauma-informed, person-centered therapy and regard myself as comforting without being coddling. Someone once told me that talking with me is like slipping into a booth at a diner with an old friend. I use art in therapy as a way to meditate, communicate, encourage the expression of our true selves, and process our lives. Often, people have a way of expressing themselves more accurately through art than with verbal communication, and I utilize that concept in my work with clients. I have a wide breadth of knowledge in various art forms and I am able to adapt to whatever the client is interested in doing. I thrive on helping people find their meaning outside of oppressive social systems and help them navigate this unique human experience.
