I currently supervise a staff of about 10 employees. When I started within the city of Philadelphia's Water dept, I had no idea I'd test so well for each position I've held be promoted as I have. Human resource Management became a interest of mine once I'd been promoted to Clerical Supervisor. My duties entail overseeing the work of my employees in our Distribution unit. Doing so, I became responsible for payroll of about 260 other employees within the unit. Entering time, sick notes, employees whom violated the code of conduct when it came to their time peek my interest greatly. From there I became more interested in the not only learning what their rights were as union members but also the City of Philadelphia policies in regards to such.
