About Grace Hyde
Despite currently studying psychology and family studies, I plan to pursue the field of librarianship in graduate school and as a career. After graduating with my B.A. in 2023, I hope to obtain a master’s in library and information science. I am passionate about providing information and services to my community, and I believe public or academic librarianship to be the perfect avenue for this.My background in psychology, participation in multicultural courses, and volunteer work with underprivileged children and mentally-ill adults has given me the ability and temperament to help people of various ages and backgrounds.My volunteer work in a library has given me experience in customer service and in handling books and has familiarized me with a library environment. In addition, I am well-equipped to work with various digital systems because of the technological experience I gained from working in a research lab.
