About Grace Keller

I have a bachelor's degree from LSU in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. My interests include research and criminal investigative work. I have over three years of experience using qualitative data analysis methods as a research assistant. However, I am eager to learn other research methods as well. For example, I have taken graduate level statistics and research methods courses as an undergrad that have enriched my research knowledge. In my senior year, I successfully defended my honors thesis regarding sexual violence on college campuses and was nominated for an outstanding thesis award. I have interned at criminal justice agencies including the East Baton Rouge Crime Strategies Unit and New Orleans Office of Inspector General. Both internships involved investigative data collection regarding the agency’s respective cases at the time. I was also a Technical Support Operator at the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP) Help Desk which involved assisting various law enforcement personnel with account management and other questions. I have a passion for martial arts which has lead me to gain leadership experience as a kickboxing instructor at LSU’s UREC and currently BR Krav Maga Fitness Studio. The skills I have attained throughout my experience in research, internships, and other jobs have crafted me into a capable and hard-working individual. I am passionate about my field of study and hope to pursue a career in Criminology research or a criminal-justice related field.
