About Grace Lan

As the Director of the Biopharmaceutical Analytical Department, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills to the role. In addition to my extensive experience in biopharmaceutical analytical development, I also hold a project management certification (PMP®) and have honed my skills through numerous successful projects. My ability to quickly learn and adapt has allowed me to work on a diverse range of projects, including small molecule analysis where I utilized HPLC/UPLC/IC and large molecule bioanalytical projects for PK ADA. In my current role, I am responsible for leading a team of scientists and technicians who specialize in developing, qualifying, and validating analytical methods for protein, peptide, gene therapeutic products, and cell therapeutic products. Our department utilizes a range of analytical methods, including flow cytometry, qPCR, cell-based potency assay, HPLC/SEC, and ELISA assay, to ensure the safety and efficacy of these biopharmaceutical products. In addition to ensuring the technical excellence of our work, I am also responsible for managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. By leveraging my project management skills, I am able to identify and mitigate risks, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and drive cross-functional collaboration across the organization. Through my leadership and management of our team, we are able to provide comprehensive analytical support to all stages of the product development process, from research and development to manufacturing.
