About Grace Larkin

As a student at the University of Kentucky, I am pursuing a double major in political science and English, with a keen interest in public policy, advocacy, and writing. I am eager to learn from and contribute to the field of lobbying, which aligns with my values and goals of making a positive impact on society. Currently, I am working as a lobbyist intern at McCarthy Strategic Solutions, a reputable firm that represents a variety of clients across Kentucky. In this role, I attend meetings, take notes, and visit clients around the state. I also leverage my research and communication skills to provide insights and feedback on upcoming cases and legislation. Previously, I interned with Pretrial Services in the Fayette District Court, where I gained valuable experience in attending court and arraignments, checking in people for drug tests, and using the computer system to do research. Through these experiences, I have developed core competencies in lobbying, public policy, legal research, and stakeholder relations. I am looking for future opportunities to further build these skills and advance my career.
