About Grace Martinez

As a theatre educator, with endorsements in English as a new language and bilingual education (Spanish), over my fourteen years of teaching, I've interned as an assistant director at London’s Hackney Empire Theatre, taught k-12 theatre, music, movement, and middle school science, at Sabin Magnet School, Association House, Columbia Explorers Academy, Burroughs Academy, Hurley Fine and Performing Arts Elementary School, and Lindblom Math and Science Academy High School, where I also created and implemented Proficiency Based Learning assessments, and I have developed and led professional development trainings for other educators in arts integration, Understanding by Design, and the Danielson Framework for Teaching. I am also a non-equity, performing artist (actor, musician, singer, movement artist, poet, photographer, writer, youth theatre director).
