As a Safety Officer at Simex Group, I develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. I also conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks to employee safety, and provide safety training programs and workshops for employees to raise awareness and ensure understanding of safety protocols and practices. I have 8 years of experience in the maintenance and construction industry, with strong skills in occupational safety, job safety analysis, and health and safety executive (HSE). I have successfully reduced workplace accidents by 100% at Hitachi Zosen Corporation, thanks to the introduction of a proactive safety culture and the implementation of innovative safety protocols. I have also collaborated with external regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and requirements. I hold multiple certifications in safety, including Nebosh, IOSH, and OSHA. I am passionate about ensuring a safe work environment for all employees and stakeholders, and I am always eager to learn new skills and techniques to enhance my safety knowledge and performance. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Am Jain College and a Diploma in Construction Management from the Institute of Safety Management, which have equipped me with critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills that are essential for my role as a Safety Officer.
