About Grace Murrin

I'm a program management professional who's passionate about nonprofit organizations and their impact on our society. I believe nonprofits of all sizes can create positive, substantial change for the communities they serve. Serving nonprofits as both a full-time employee and volunteer, highlights include- In my current role at the Mathematical Association of America, I administer grant-funded programs that provide professional development and curriculum resources to math educators, and manage a variety of math outreach grants to localized math enrichment projects- As a volunteer, I've repaired homes in rural Appalachia to make them warmer, safer, and drier. Over the course of 10 years as a volunteer and coordinator of volunteers, I helped dozens of families and communities through the Appalachia Service Project- As an theatre professional at Signature Theatre, I coordinated production support for education programs that engaged high school students in social issues- In my home community, I've served in a local soup kitchen, food pantry, and ESOL program. I am a proud lifetime member of the Girl Scout Movement (Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital, active 1998-2011, earned Silver and Bronze Awards).
